HSV was therefore one of the first companies in the Netherlands to develop and manufacture low-density thermoplastic foams (EPS and EPP). Today, HSV Moulded Foams is one of the leading players in this field and has a number of European production locations. Besides the Netherlands, it also has factories in Poland and the United Kingdom.
1985: HSV TMP founded
HSV Technical Moulded Parts was founded in 1985, following the acquisition of the company Synterials. This company specialised in the development and manufacture of large plastic products using the polyurethane technique.
During the 1990s thermoplastics came to be used increasingly as a substitute for polyurethane. HSV TMP identified this trend and decided to invest in injection moulding machines to process thermoplastics. The company's last polyurethane machines were disposed of in 2012.p>
2001: acquisition of VOPRA
In 2001 we acquired VOPRA, a plastic-processing company from Leeuwarden with a particular focus on the use of recycled plastics. As a result of this acquisition we now have two factories, each with its own area of specialisation. At our production location in Ede we have access to machines with a clamping force of between 300 and 1,500 tonnes, while in Leeuwarden we have a clamping force of 2,000 to 4,000 tonnes at our disposal.
Today: a solid family company
Today the HSV Group is still a family company and boasts a healthy balance sheet and solid key figures. The market regards us as a reliable partner and we have wisely spread our risks across customers in a wide variety of sectors.
